Wendy Riding

Wendy Riding has been involved in calisthenics for most of her life. She spent 16 years at Ballarat Calisthenics College before starting Jayde in 1990, where she is a Principal Coach. Wendy received her coaching accreditation in 1988 and is currently working towards obtaining her Level 2 coaching accreditation.
In 1999 and 2003, Wendy coached the Victorian Sub-Junior State Teams who went on to win the National Championships.
Wendy is an accredited calisthenic adjudicator, travelling all over Victoria to adjudicate both solo and team competitions. She has always been a role model to cadet coaches within the club and supports her coaching team to achieve the best possible outcomes for their students.
Wendy is very proud of the achievements the club has already made over the past 30+ years and continues to strive towards making Jayde Calisthenic Club a successful and family friendly environment.

 

Paula Horgan

Paula is a Principal Development Coach at Jayde, where she leads the Juniors class and coaches soloists, Cali exams, Strength, Acro and Dance technique classes of all ages. With years of experience on and off the stage she has been a mentor to many coaches and cadets, fostering their development and passion for calisthenics.
Paula’s dedication to the sport is unparalleled. She began her calisthenics journey at the age of three, competing for 26 years and making it an integral part of her life. She represented the Victorian State Team five times and served as Assistant Coach for the Winning Sub-Junior Victorian State Team in 1999.
Paula has performed countless graceful girl solos and completed the ACF Pupil Skills program, earning her bronze, silver, and prestigious gold medal award with Honours. She is also a recipient of the Australian Sports Medal, recognizing her contributions to calisthenics. In 2013, her leadership played a pivotal role in Jayde’s coaching team winning the ACF Pupil Skills Coaches of the Year award. Paula’s passion for calisthenics extends to her daughter, who shares her enthusiasm for the sport. Paula cherishes the opportunity to support and inspire the next generation of Jayde Cali girls and continuing her lifelong commitment to Jayde and the sport she loves.
